Hayley Westenra - A Thousand Winds

這首詩的來源及作者似乎已不可考，小 J 搜尋了網路上面的相關訊息發現來源有好幾個：

有一說此詩最早是在1932年，一名美國女子為了同居友人過世的母親而寫的作品，詩的本身並無名字，一般人就以其第一句"Do not stand at my grave and weep"來命名。之後一名英國青年在戰爭中犧牲，臨終前寫下這首詩轉交給他的雙親，經過媒體報導之後，逐漸廣為世人所知。而在2001年美國911攻擊事件後，一名美國女孩在追悼儀式中也唸出這首詩，來表達對亡者的追思。

又有一說此詩詩名為「A THOUSAND WINDS 」，詩的原作者已經不可考(Author Unknown)，據說是描述一對印第安戀人的故事，烏帕希和蕾伊拉曾經因為被白人迫害而離散，雖然後來終於結合了，但是蕾伊拉卻在生下女兒後身亡，烏帕希因此非常傷心。
